This tournament aims to celebrate his spirit and passion for football, bringing together young athletes from across the Battle Creek school districts.

About the Event:

The Tyshawn Williams Memorial 7v7 Football Tournament is an annual event dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of Tyshawn Williams, a young athlete whose passion for football left a lasting impact on his community. Organized by Chris Evans, Cincinnati Bengals running back and founder of CE Stars, this event goes beyond competition by focusing on coaching and development.

This year, we are excited to introduce a unique mentoring opportunity where NFL coaches will work directly with coaches from the Battle Creek school districts. These experienced NFL coaches will conduct two preparatory video calls with the local coaches to provide them with advanced strategies and tools necessary for teaching their athletes effectively. The culmination of this mentoring will take place in person on the day of the event, offering hands-on guidance and support.

This initiative not only enhances the competitive spirit of the tournament but also ensures that the coaches are well-prepared to develop their athletes’ skills and sportsmanship, reflecting the spirit and values that Tyshawn Williams embodied.

Schedule:

• 3:30 PM: NFL Coaches Meet with Battle Creek School District Coaches
• 4:30 PM: Registration and Team Check-in
• 5:20 PM: Opening Remarks and Introduction of NFL Coaches
• 5:30 PM: Tournament Kickoff
• 8:00 PM: Tournament Conclusion
• 8:15 PM: Award Ceremony
• 8:30 PM: Closing Remarks and Acknowledgments

Registration:

This is a private event, and participation is by invitation only. Teams have been pre-selected to represent the four school districts from Battle Creek. Each participating team will receive specific details about their scheduled times and any required preparations.

Spectator Information:

The event welcomes spectators to support their local teams. Entry at the door is $5 per person. All proceeds will go towards the CE Stars Scholarship Fund, aimed at supporting the education and development of talented young athletes.
